PCA Open News: Clarice Patrimonio wins 1st PCA Open title

Clarice Patrimonio, the reigning UAAP Most Valuable Player won over teenage challenger Maia Balce during the Philippine Columbian Association-Cebuana Lhuillier Open tennis championships.

The 21-year-old HRM major at National University took the win, 6-4, 6-3, Sunday.

She broke in the 7th game of the first set to post a 4-3 victory in the opening set.

"I’m very happy that finally a Patrimonio placed in the PCA Hall of Fame," she told reporters.

In March, Clarice and sister Christine took home the crown during the  UAAP Season 77 lawn tennis tournament.
