Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Denies Endorsement of Duterte, Presidential Candidate for 2016 Elections

Outgoing President Benigno Aquino III‬ and ‪Iglesia ni Cristo‬‬ are two most talked about subjects today; It goes alongside the hot news related to Senator Antonio Trillanes and Presidential aspirant Rodrigo Duterte.

While it is true and confirmed that on May 2 (Mon), President Aquino (PNOY) paid a visit to Iglesia ni Cristo‬‬ headquarters in Quezon City, allegedly to salvage the favor for the administration's bet, the religious group denied that it endorsed a presidential candidate, particularly Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

There was even a circulating "fake" or "forged" endorsement letter with a fake signature of INC's executive minister Eduardo Manalo.

The influential group said it will file charges against the responsible individual who circulated the said document.

INC spokesperson Edwil Zabala said, it did not come from Brother Manalo.
The moment we identify the person/s responsible for this fraudulent letter containing the forged signature of Brother Eduardo Manalo, we will charge them in court
Since early morning Monday, netizens have been sharing the said "endorsement" material on social media.

Some said it sent people to panic - some cheered and applauded because it had Duterte's name on it.

This is a national issue and in times likes this where any false notions may sprout elsewhere, netizens should take extra vigilance before sharing anything online.
